Daewoo USAS-12 Data provided by RJ Andron

Daewoo USAS-12: The USAS-12 is a selective fire 12-Gauge shotgun that shares a lineage with the Atchisson AA-12 shotgun. The firearm was developed initially by Gilbert Equipment Company in the 1980s and was manufactured in the 1990s by Daewoo Precision Industry in South Korea.

The semi-automatic version of the shotgun intended for civilian sales was classified as a destructive device in the United States and thus its sales were effectively limited to military and law-enforcement agencies. Overseas sales have been made military forces outside of the United States.

The shotgun can feed either from a 10-round box magazine (illustrated) or from a 20-round drum magazine.

Pancor JackhammerData provided by Greg Brovane

Pancor Jackhammer: The Jackhammer is a 12-gauge automatic shotgun design that was developed in the 1980s but never actually made it into production.

Pancor entered bankruptcy when they could not obtain U.S. State Department approval for foreign sales. Only a few working prototypes were ever built.

Nevertheless, the fully-automatic capabilities and the futuristic stylings make this an interesting firearm and worth profiling.

The shotgun is almost fully manufactured from plastic and is classed as a blow-forward automatic revolver. The shotgun feeds from a 10-round revolver-style magazine. The gas from each shot pushes the barrel forwards, allowing magazine to rotate the next round into firing position as a return spring pushes the barrel back to mate with the magazine.

The magazine can also be detached and, with a detonator added, used as an antipersonnel mine called the Beartrap with all rounds in the magazine being fired straight upwards into the combatant stepping on it.

Franchi SPAS-15 Data provided by R.J. Andron

Franchi SPAS 15: This 12-ga. shotgun feeds from a box magazine, and like the more popular SPAS-12, it has a switchable semiautomatic/pump action.

This shotgun is limited to military and police use in most nations and is in service in Italy, Portugal, and Serbia. The shotgun is also available to the civilian market in Italy. However, the shotgun was prohibited for civilian ownership in Canada except for very specific circumstances. Importation of the shotgun into the United States has been banned since 1996, although the weapon may still be privately owned.
